Wilma Rose Villicano
November 8, 1935 – February 28, 2022
Wilma Rose Villicano, 86 years of age, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ the early morning of Feb 28th. She was born in Gillette Wyoming to Herman and Dorothy Oedekoven, raised on a ranch in Recluse Wyoming. Wilma moved to Bakersfield, California in 1956. She married Tony Villicano on December 12, 1964, and together raised three children at their homestead south of Bakersfield.
Wilma was a country girl at heart, a strong determined woman who loved her children, grandchildren, and her beloved dog Jack. She took pride in maintaining a clean but inviting home. She was known for her love of cooking and her famous bean and cheese burritos, adored by her grandchildren. Wilma enjoyed dancing and country music, especially newer country artists Carrie Underwood and Scotty McCreery. Wilma had a deep faith in the Lord, a devout Catholic who had a kind, genuine heart. The cherished memories and her spirit will always remain in our hearts.
Wilma is now joined with Tony, her husband of 50 years, together in heaven. They are united once again.
She is preceded in death by her parents Herman and Dorothy Oedekoven, sisters Maycle Wood and Esther Tays; survived by sister Viola Ross; son Larry Storm and daughters Christina (Chris) Sacchini, Rosemary (Stan) Balzer; grandchildren David, Daniel, Allen, and Jesse (Amanda) Storm, Andrew and Anthony Sacchini, Mark Villicano, Taylor Ariey, Tiffany Balzer and nine great grandchildren. A Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15th followed by a mass of christian burial at 10:00 a.m. at St Francis Church.
