WILLIAM "BILL" FRANK WIEDENHOFER

Bill Wiedenhofer, affectionately known as “Uncle Bill” was born July 31, 1953 in Dunkirk, New York.  He passed away unexpectedly on June 2, 2024 in his home. After graduating from high school he enlisted in the Navy. He was discharged honorably from active duty and transferred to the Naval Reserves. He started his career with AT&T on the east coast and transferred to the west coast. He retired in December of 2022 after 45 years of service with the company. 

On July 25, 1986 he married Susan (Neri). He was a loving father to his only daughter Danielle Bye (Nick). His newest and most favorite role was that of Grandpa (Boppi) to Penelope. 

Bill is survived by his wife, daughter, son in law, granddaughter and grandchild number two due in September.  He also leaves behind two brothers Larry (Mary) and John (Jeri). Three sisters-in-law, Carol Sparks (Kenny), Cynthia Ruiz  (Raul) and Lisa Neri (Lamont). Godsons Alexander Marquez and Paul Ruiz as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

We would like to thank our family and friends who have been a huge support during this time.

Pallbearers will be Alexander Marquez, Paul Ruiz, Raul Ruiz, Kenny Sparks, Lamont McIntosh, Larry Wiedenhofer, Nick Bye.

Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 13th at Doughty-Calhoun-O’Meara Chapel.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday June 14th at St. Francis of Assisi Parish.  Interment will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Bakersfield National Cemetery.
