VICTOR LOUIE

Victor was born on March 24, 1948 in Bakersfield, CA to Alfred and Susan Louie as the eldest of four children.  After receiving his industrial technology degree from Cal Poly, he took the reins of the family business, Alfred Louie Inc., alongside his brother for over 50 years.  In 1976, he married the love of his life, Victoria, and they raised 3 beautiful children together- Michael, Stephanie, and Kevin.  Following the loss of his beloved wife, Victor displayed resilience as he persevered, remaining a committed father while navigating the trials of being a single parent.

Although a man of very few words, Victor’s actions spoke volumes of his character.  He was one of the most reliable, generous and kind hearted people anyone could meet, always offering a helping hand and never the one to say no.  He would inconvenience himself to support others without expecting anything in return.  Victor had a strong work ethic, tirelessly laboring to provide for his family.   His love was always uniquely displayed in his actions.

Victor possessed extensive expertise as a handyman and demonstrated a remarkable ability to repair a wide range of items.  He consistently extended his assistance to those in need of his skills.  His loved ones will cherish memories of his passion for eating, playing solitaire, admiring firearms and knives, enjoying muscle cars and all things beansprouts or noodles.

Victor was a blessing to his family and friends, a true embodiment of a servant, helping in every capacity that he could.   While he will be dearly missed, his memory will live on through his family and friends.  

Victor is survived by his children- Michael & wife Shiangyin, Stephanie & husband Lawrence, Kevin & wife Sherene; brother- Sam; sister- Marianne & husband Peter; grandchildren- Ethan, Andrew, Danica and Anaya; his nieces, nephews and many other loved ones.

The viewing will be held at Doughty-Calhoun-O’Meara Funeral Home on Friday, March 29^th from 4pm-7pm and the funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 30^th at 9:30AM.
