Susan (Sue) was born in Joliet, IL to Bob and Martha Fitzgerald. She was the wife of George Roblee, mother of Patti Spradley (Ples), Peggy Lukins (Ted), Marty (Monica), and Mike (Kieran), grandmother of 10, great grandmother of 4, and sister of Dave and Jack Fitzgerald and Jean Weber. She is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings Joe and Jimmy Fitzgerald and Marilyn Doyle. Sue grew up in Manhattan, Illinois and graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Sue and George raised their family in Kansas, and then moved to Bakersfield, CA. She was active in her children’s lives, her church and her community, especially as a volunteer at Mercy Hospital for over 30 years. She enjoyed traveling, was a good friend, eager to share stories about her children and grandchildren, and passionate about a good game of bridge. 

Her family wishes to thank the staff of Hoffmann Hospice and Brookdale Riverwalk for their care, and they also appreciate the love and support given by Sue’s friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial, interment and celebration of life will be held at a later date.
