Ronald J. Mowry, Sr.

Ronald went home to be with our Lord on Sunday, December 12, 2021 after his battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Ron was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Victor and Silvia W. Mowry on April 29,1945. Ron entered the United States Airforce at 19 and he served for four years as an accounting specialist in Korea and Hawaii. He joined the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, and for 30 years faithfully served in patrol and transportation. Throughout his life, he was a pillar of integrity and strength.

As fate determined he traveled to California after being discharged from the Airforce to see a friend when met the first love of his life, Valerie. After her passing he was blessed to find the second love of his life Pamela who he married in 2008. Through his love for these two women, he created a family that radiates love, kindness, and compassion just like him.

Anyone who knew Ron, knew his love for the Lord and his family along with his passion for the Steelers and Pirates. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Rick and Carl. He is survived by his wife Pamela Mowry, his sister Patricia Fady, his daughter and son-in-law Theresa and George Carter, his son and daughter-in-law Ronald Jr. and Jena Mowry, three step daughters Kandra Silva, Andrea Scott, and Stephanie Shelton, 11 grandchildren Taylor and Kota, Ty and Carina, Tori, Kaylee, Jordan, Jessie, Garrett, Chandler, Sabrina, Kaden, and Grace, and 8 great-grandchildren Luke, Jax, Reid, Evie, Paxton, Kenzie, Parker, Morgan.
