Tribute to Patricia Gaskin
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Gaskin, who at 80 years old passed away on October 29th and will be greatly missed by all of whom were blessed to have known her.
Patricia was an ardent believer in her holy and apostolic Roman Catholic faith. Patricia was devoted to the Blessed Mother and her family as well as a devout Catholic. She became acquainted with the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property in the early ‘80s and received her supporter pin in 1982.
Faithful to the TFP for 40 years, Patricia was always enthusiastic about learning more about her faith and developing her spiritual life to helping others along the way. She attended international, national and regional conferences of the TFP and was an American Needs Fatima custodian for over 20 years.
Patricia’s commitment to her faithfulness to God and the TFP was evident in organizing regular ANF meetings in Bakersfield, as well as organizing monthly public rosary rallies. Her role as a rosary captain inspired many men and women to do the same for the love of our Blessed Mother, the church and the love of our great country.
Patricia was the first of three children, born on June 28, 1942, to her loving parents, Billow and Hazel Block in Stockton, Calif., whom preceded her in death along with her husband, Carroll Eugene Gaskin. She is survived by her brothers Joe and Mathew Block and family; son Shawn Gaskin and his children, Trinity, Aubrey and Malory; son Thomas Gaskin and his children, Jesse, Bailey, Izan, Thomas, Bradley and Lily; daughter Anna Witcher and son-in-law David and their children, Madeleine and Sydney; daughter Theresa Harvey and son-in-law Christopher and their children, Seth, Kindle, Lance, Jacklyn, Gwendolyn, Cody, Marcus and Miles; daughter Gabriella Serda and son-in-law Jesus and their children, McKenzie and Kadence. Patricia will also be remembered by her great-grandchildren, Beckett and Silas Certuche, and Trinity and Trenten Gaskin.
