She was born in Wasco, California, attended Wasco High School and was married to Elmer Brooks for 51 years until his passing. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. Monica was dedicated to her family and Catholic faith.

Monica was employed by Brooks Brothers Interiors and worked side by side with Elmer and Bert Brooks. She was responsible for many aspects of the business including bookkeeping and rental property management until her retirement. Monica was an avid tennis player from high school through her 80’s. She enjoyed much of her tennis time with Renee and many special friends. She loved time with late husband Elmer at Lake Nacimiento with her children and their families fishing, boating and waterskiing. Snowskiing, sailing, three-wheeling at the beach, camping and cruise vacations were also favorites.
In December, 2009 she married Joe Ferguson and continued her desire to travel. She enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas, the beach and drives along the Pacific Coast.
Monica’s memory will forever be in our hearts. Thank you to the entire staff of CBCC and Hoffmann Hospice for their care and compassion.
