Michelle Jean Burton

Michelle Jean Burton, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away unexpectedly on September 21, 2024, in Bakersfield, California. She was born on March 22, 1959 in Downey, California.

Michelle is preceded in death by her husband, William "Ceps" Burton. Michelle raised three wonderful children: Crystal Nicole Hatch (Thomas Hatch), Brandon Michael Zavala (Kelsey Zavala), and Tyler John Smart (Jenna Kober). Michelle also adored her three grandchildren, Christian Thomas Hatch, Bailey Michelle Hatch, and Cash Michael Zavala.

Michelle attended Los Altos High School, in Los Altos, California and graduated in 1977 as the 1st chair alto saxophone player for the band. In her free time, she enjoyed cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, listening to music, eating delicious food prepared by her two sons, and watching NASCAR races.

Michelle will be remembered for her love of football, animals, horseback riding, good food, and an unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
