Kirksey "Mark" Newton

May 20, 1960 - November 8, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kirksey “Mark” Newton, who left this world on November 8, 2024, at the age of 64. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Mark lived a life full of love, laughter, and commitment to those he cherished most.

Born on May 20, 1960, Mark grew up with a spirit of determination and a heart of kindness that he carried throughout his life. He found his true partner and soulmate in Teresa Newton, with whom he shared a remarkable 40+ years of marriage. Together, they created a family that was the center of Mark’s world, and his love for Teresa never wavered.

Mark was the proud father of three children: Christopher Newton, Lauren Dovichi, and Robert Newton. He was a guiding force and an unwavering source of support to them throughout their lives. He took great pride in watching his children grow and succeed, and he found immeasurable joy in being a grandfather to his eight grandchildren—Addyson and Benjamin (children of Christopher and Krystle), Dean, Giavanna, and Gemma (children of Lauren and Jonathan), and Joseph, Deacon, Harlee, and Nix (children of Robert and Erika). His legacy lives on in each of them, and they will forever carry his love and wisdom.

Professionally, Mark made his mark as a successful real estate developer and appraiser, where his keen insight and dedication to excellence earned him the respect of his colleagues and clients alike. His passion for real estate was rivaled only by his love for deep sea fishing in Mexico, a hobby that allowed him to connect with nature and unwind with family and friends. Mark treasured the simple moments, often surrounded by the people he loved, and he found peace in both his work and his leisure.

Above all, Mark’s greatest joy was spending time with his family. Whether gathered around the dinner table, fishing on his boat “ The Evaluator “ in Mexico, or enjoying quiet moments together, he was always present and fully engaged. His love and devotion to his family were unmatched, and his memory will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his loving wife, Teresa, his children, his grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends who will forever remember him for his warmth, humor, and boundless love.

A celebration of his life will be held on January 25th at 11:00 A.M. The celebration will start at New Life Church 1300 Jewetta Ave. Followed by lunch at Benji’s Restaurant on Rosedale Hwy, where family and friends will gather to share stories, laughter, and the memories of a man who touched so many hearts.

Mark’s love, kindness, and strength will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his memory will forever be cherished. Rest in peace, Mark. You will be deeply missed.
