JOSEPH "JOE" JAMES PIERI

Joe Pieri was born in Bakersfield on March 4, 1944, to Louis and Gina Pieri.  He graduated in 1962 from South High School and worked as a sales representative in the agricultural industry for 50 years. 

Joe loved spending time with family and friends.  Barbecuing, fishing, hunting, gardening, and baking were among his favorite activities.   He especially loved spending time with his grandson Louis. Joe was a member of the Elks Lodge for over 57 years and participated in Relay for Life every year.

Joe is survived by his wife Linda; son Kenneth Pieri (Imelda) grandson Louis Pieri; two sisters, Rosie Roberts, and Linda Mikle; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation is scheduled from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday January 27, 2023, at Doughty-Calhoun-O’Meara Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial  at 9:30 a.m., on Saturday January 28^th at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Historic Union Cemetery.
