Jackie was born on March 26th, 1941. She passed away peacefully at home with her husband by her side, after a long battle with Parkinson’s. She was a Bakersfield native attending St. Francis and Garces Memorial High School. She went on to graduate college from Fresno State.
Jackie was married to her loving husband, Roger, for 58 years. They had four children: Mike Hay (Laurie), Lezlie Glowacki (Alan), David Hay, and Ann Hernandez (Nick). She loved spending time with her six grandchildren (they called her “G”) Taylor, Alec, Garret, Kendra, Trenton, and Jadyn, and one great grandchild, Brayden.
Jackie volunteered at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital for thirty plus years and served on their foundation board. She made lifelong friendships there. She also volunteered her time going on numerous trips to Central America with medical teams.
We would like to send our deepest appreciation and gratitude to Hoffmann Hospice and Brenda Lutz for taking such loving care of her the past few months.
A celebration of life graveside service will be at Historic Union Cemetery, Saturday November 5th at 10:30 am. A lunch reception to follow at Wool Growers.
