On January 30th, Bernice "Bernie" Willer passed away peacetully surrounded by family in Bakersfield, California. Bernice was born on Feb 29, 1956 in Fremont, Ohio. The daughter of Wayne "Jr." McCoy & Frankie McCoy (Moreland). Bernice married her soulmate, Randy L. Willer, on June 9, 1979, at the Springs in Green Springs, Ohio. Over the last 45 years, they have built a treasure of unforgettable memories together. She always found an excuse to visit the beach and feel the sand between her toes. Additionally, they cherished many evenings spent at local dirt tracks in Ohio and even California.
Bernice was a well-known and compassionate dog groomer for 25 years. After that, she transitioned to a position at KBl in Sandusky, Ohio. After approximately eight years, it was finally her time to embrace the joy of her new grandchildren! Bernice brought immense love into our lives and the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Remaining to cherish Bernice's memory are Randy L. Willer, Children, Jeremy (Kimberly) Willer, Kaley (Michael) Compito, and grandchildren Paige Willer, Logan Willer Ava Taylor, Evan Taylor, and Wayne Compito.
She is also survived by: Bernice's mother, Frankie McCoy; sister, Debbie (Bill) Owens; mother-in-law Jean Willer; and sister-in-law Louann (Mike) Burroughs and brother-in-law, Gary (Mary) Willer.
Preceding Bernice in death, her father Wayne “Jr” McCoy, brother, Michael Perry McCoy, and father-in-law, Robert "Gene" Willer.
Bernice would have done anything for her children. She loved HARD, and her selflessness was evident in everything she did. Her love extended even further to her grandchildren, for whom she had an extraordinary love. To them, she was not just a grandmother; she was a source of wisdom, laughter, and boundless affection.
