Frances Catherine Parker (Bertolucci)

 Frances Catherine Parker, was born in Bakersfield, California, to parents Pietro and Livia Bertolucci. Frances went to be with the Lord on August 3rd, due to cancer at the age of 73, while surrounded by her closest family and friends.

 Frances was raised in Bakersfield, California where she attended St. Francis Parish School and graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1968. After High School she met her late husband, Glynn, of 52 ½ years, who together went on to raise two sons, Darrin and Chris, and resided in Bakersfield until the late 90’s.

 She worked as a pre-school teacher, a florist and later side by side with her husband as they began their family business, Glynn Parker Land Surveying. Frances and Glynn relocated to the Central Coast of California, and enjoyed a beautiful life as they began welcoming grandchildren into their life and home. Grandma Frances’ home was always the welcoming get-away for fun times, crafting, and of course Nonni’s pasta. In February of 2022, Frances and Glynn set out on a new adventure and moved to North Idaho, where she quickly fell in love with the changing seasons. She was not one to shy away from hard work, even in her later years, she enjoyed removing the snow from her driveway and sidewalks through the winters.

 Frances was recently preceded in death by her husband Glynn, may they both be joined and rest in peace together. She was also preceded in death by her parents Pietro and Livia Bertolucci, and her brother and sister-in-law Alex and Darlene Bertolucci. She is survived by her life-long best friend Barbara Allison, her two sons Darrin (Sarah) and Chris (Jenny) and her nephew Jeff Bertolucci (Veronica). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, and 1 great-grandson on his way.

 Services will be held for Frances at 10 am, Monday August 26th at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church followed by ceremonies at 12:30 pm at  Bakersfield National Cemetery, and a reception in her honor.
