Elizabeth Mae Pacciorini passed away peacefully on December 2, 2021. Elizabeth was born on October 22, 1935 in Bakersfield California to Ralph and Josephine Walters. She attended local schools and graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1953. After graduating, she worked as a bookkeeper for a number of years.
Elizabeth met the love of her life, Robert Pacciorini, through mutual friends and they were married in April 1962. They briefly lived in Minot, North Dakota after they were first married and then moved to Northridge, California where their son Richard was born. They soon realized they wanted to be closer to family and moved back to Bakersfield. Nineteen months later their daughter Kathy was born. Mom was a loving wife, mother and daughter and her family always came first. She enjoyed sewing, reading and baking. Anyone who knew her knows dessert was her favorite meal.
Mom and dad’s greatest enjoyment was travelling the country in their motorhome along with weekend trips to the coast at Pismo Beach and Morro Bay. Fortunately, they were able to do what they loved most and travel through the years before Richard became sick and then not too long after dad became sick, both passing away within weeks of each other in March 1998. From that point on, life was never the same but mom managed to keep going despite the devastating loss. Over the years that followed, mom enjoyed her lunches and shopping trips with her best friend Barbara and she always loved having her numerous fur babies around her. She even enjoyed going to an Angels’ World Series game in 2002 even though she wasn’t a big baseball fan. As time went on, it became hard for mom to get around and do the things she wanted to do. It’s comforting to know she is no longer in pain and has found peace with dad and Richard in heaven.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Robert, son Richard and parents, Ralph and Josephine Walters. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Pacciorini and her napping companion and fur baby, Riley.
Special thanks to wonderful friends who have helped so much during this difficult time and to Dr. Sam Ratnayake and his staff, Rosa and Felipe, for their wonderful care of mom through the years.
