BETTY JEAN BANDUCCI

Betty Jean Banducci was born December 6, 1932 in Gregg County, Texas to John and Betty Mabry. She was also welcomed by four brothers Nathan, Don, Norris and Dwaine. In 1947 John and Betty along with daughters Betty and Delores went West to Ventura California.

Upon completing high school Betty married Donald Fain. They were blessed with daughters Donna Denise, Elizabeth Lynette, Cynthia Ann and son Mark Allen.  A work related transfer in 1965 brought them to Bakersfield. At that time their family was completed with the addition of daughter Kristina Kay.

Betty worked in sales, accounting, and clerical, but the most rewarding job she had was with the California Childrens Services in Bakersfield. She would accept newborns into her home and love and care for them until they were adopted. She loved those babies!

Betty returned to Ventura after her marriage was desolved. She met and married Dr William Busche and was with him until his passing in 1998.

Betty had returned to Bakersfield. She met Bob when friends got together, and they started dating. They were married in 2006. They enjoyed many trips and events. Unfortunately, Betty suffered a debilitating stroke in 2013 and for the past 10 years Bob has been her constant caregiver and did an outstanding job.

Betty is preceded in death by her Parents, daughters Cynthia and Lynette and son Mark, four brothers, Nathan, Don, Norris and Dwaine, sister -in-laws Betty, Dorothy, Helen, Marjorie, Judy, and brother-in-law Rudy Venator.

Betty is survived by her husband Bob and their blended family Denise (Gary) McGee, Kristina Fain, Karen (Todd) Stevens , Kristi (Dan) Jenkins, Jeff (Debbie) Banducci. Grandchildren Michelle, Janelle, Matthew, Kenny, Christopher, Sara, Claire, Olivia, Abby, Ryan, Josh, Jack, Blake, Luke and 7 great-great grandchildren and sister Delores Venator, and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Services will be on Thursday, September 14th at 11:00 a.m. at Doughty-Calhoun-O'Meara, 1100 Truxtun Avenue, followed by a reception at the Rice Bowl, 1119 18th. Street.
