ANTONIA BARBOZA
May 6, 1923 February 22, 2022
Our beloved Mother Antonia (Tonia) Barboza was born May 6, 1923 in Raymondville, Texas. She passed peacefully in the presence of family in her home on February 22, 2022, early morning. Like most women of her time mom's role was to care for her growing family. As a homemaker and hard working mother, mom still made time to quilt blankets for each of her children to cherish, baked like no other, tended to our every need and love us as a mother should love. Mom and Dad wanted their daughters to be independent and self-sufficient which helped shape us into the women we are today, sons take on responsibilities as men should.
Mom loved being a grandmother and often spoke about the love a grandmother has for her grandchildren.
Mom is survived by her Sister Gloria Ambriz, her six Daughters Esperanza Garza, Mercedes Garza, Delia Barboza, Ninfa Valles, Violanda Morales and husband Arturo Morales II, Victoria B. Rosales and husband Jerry Rosales, her three Sons Johnny Barboza, Camilo Barboza and Victor Barboza. Numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren
Mom is predeceased by the love of her life, our father, Delfino Barboza Sr., daughters and sons, Delfino Barboza Jr., Antonio Barboza, Rumaldo (Roy) Barboza, Ninfa (Ninfita) Barboza and David Barboza, brothers and sisters Mateo Rodriguez, Juana Ramos, Victor Rodriguez, Felipe Alvarado, Jose Alvarado and Margarita (Mage) Ortiz.
