Alba Sandrini was born on August 8, 1928, in Castroville, California, the artichoke capital of the world. She passed away peacefully at her home on July 14, 2022. Born to parents Mike and Martha Zanatta, she also had a brother Guido and a sister Sarah. Alba attended Elementary school in Castroville and graduated from Salinas High School in 1946. In 1948 she left Castroville to marry the love of her life, Bruno Sandrini. After moving to Bakersfield, she became a devoted dairyman’s wife and raised four children. Life on Wible Road became an inheritance of many families, relatives, and traditions. Alba devoted her entire life to her husband and children. She was active in PTA, her children’s events, 4-H, and the Altar Society. Alba was always there to lend a helping hand. A tremendous homemaker and cook, she always saw to her family’s needs. If you were a friend of her children, you became part of the family. Alba had a way of always lending a hand and reaching out to those in need of help. Her memory was impeccable, and she never forgot any event that took place and was known for always sending a card of remembrance. Alba took great joy and pride in sending these cards and writing beautiful letters of encouragement. Alba was a true guardian angel. If anyone needed help, Alba was there to lend a helping hand. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother and sister, her husband Bruno, and her oldest son Michael. Alba is survived by her son Tom of Bakersfield, CA, her other son Jim and his wife Helen of Fresno, CA., and her daughter Elizabeth and her husband Dennis of Boulder City, Nevada. She is also survived by grandchildren Jamie Sandrini, Michael Sandrini, Jordan Sandrini Martin, Michelle Maring and Zachary Maring. She has five great grand children, Skylar Nelson, Marlow Martin, Hayden Martin, Paisley Maring and Ada Maring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hoffmann Hospices and Palliative Care (www.hoffmannhospice.org).
